Kibera Now
Nubian homesteads that once provided opportunities for farming, grazing and raising cattle are now part of the congested, sprawling Kibera slum with garbage, sewage and refuse visible everywhere. Kibera does not receive public services such as garbage removal and sewage. Trash and human waste have turned the streams of Kibera into small veins of toxic black liquid.
