Kibera Now
Kibera was once called the Nubian village of Kibra. Nubians have lived on the land for over a century. Nubians consider the land to be their heritage and homeland in Kenya. Once situated among bush, mango trees and green grass, this Nubian family's home rests nearly in the middle of the Kibera slum. The house is almost 100 years old and is one of the oldest homes in Kibera.
